Between the eight of us there is over 60 years of swing dance experience. Some of us have been involved in swing dance for over 7 years. One thing we do share is the passion for the dance and the desire to promote it throughout our community here in the metroplex.
We each have our unique stories and we all met each other in our own ways. Don’t hesitate to ask us about it, we will be glad to share. We all agree though that dancing is a great way to meet people from all walks of life and add a beautiful dimension to your social life.
Brian and Haider started working together in the summer of 2009 as co-hosts of the weekly dance held every Thursday at the Sons of Hermann Hall in Dallas. Soon after they moved to hosting a Wednesday night dance after the Texas Classic lessons held at Sandunga Dance Studio in Carrolton. Lesley joined us at Sandunga as our registration representative.
As we built our dance from the ground up, we slowly added a list of guest DJ’s from the local area that would add variety to the atmosphere we were trying to create. Gianmarco, Kien and Jay joined in that particular order and shared their wonderful personalities with us. Gianmarco Russo is also an avid photography enthusiast and helps us with website photos and videos.
Aly moved to Dallas in the fall of 2009 and immediately started contributing by regularly attending local dances and dancing with everyone she possibly could. Her friendly nature blended perfectly with our staff and now she helps in the marketing efforts. She is also the workshop instructor coordinator for Westie Dallas.
